*Open Farm Day 2019
We participated in the Maine Department of Agriculture Open Farm Day on July 28, 2019. Visitors participated in a walking tour learning about the life cycle of potatoes, how hay is grown and harvested in addition to the various vegetable and fruit crops being grown on the farm. Many visitors came from within the state, surrounding states, and the country of England taking home samples of our own fresh honey.
* Spudtacular You Pick Potato Days 2019
This two-weekend event took place on the farm the last weekend of August and the first weekend of September. Families were able to participate in an old Northern Maine fall tradition while also engaging in a farm to table experience. Visitors watched and learned how potatoes are harvested, then picked their own potatoes to take home from the field.
The first weekend included craft and food vendors, live music, and more. The second weekend was simply a you pick weekend.
Our second annual Spudtacular You Pick Potato Days are planned for one weekend only: September 19-20th. Craft and food vendors, live music, potato digging /picking, and more is tentatively planned for the 19th. Potato digging and picking only on September 20th.
THIS EVENT WILL BE CONTINGENT ON THE PROGRESSION OF COVID-19 GUIDELINES SET FORTH BY THE STATE OF MAINE. We will keep the website updated on this event.
